By Ajomuzu Collette Bekaku | Executive Director

Kids - computer training
Kids - computer training

Summer / the holiday season is a great time to brush up on your skills. Thanks to your support - our kids have been doing just that!

During this summer / holiday period, we intensified studies for our computer classes.  The computer training focused on children and youth targeting those who had finished Certificate of Primary Education.  The training took place at our community resource center.  YOUR support helped to provide training in the following skills:

1. Introduction to computers
2. Keyboarding
3. Microsoft Word
4. Microsoft Excel
5. Microsoft PowerPoint
6. Microsoft Access
7. Microsoft Windows
8. Microsoft Publisher
9. Internet and email
10. PageMaker.

In addition, they learned other IT related skills including binding, photocopying, laminating and paper cutting. Many of were quick to learn and do practical exercises.

We are so grateful for your on-going support that made this possible.

Want to help us do more: you can now easily create a fundraiser here on GlobalGiving and help us raise funds for more training.  This is a fantastic way to invite your friends and family to join you in making a difference. You can start your fundraiser here - http://www.globalgiving.org/dy/v2/fundraiser-new/type today!  Let us know if you have any questions or need our help setting this up.  Thanks so much for all you do!
