CONTINUING BUILDING A BETTER COMMUNITY IN BURUNDI, AFRICA

Let's us all together be part of the solution wherever we are able to make a difference for a better community and nation.  A solution that heals a wounded community and nation; a solution that gives hope for the future; a solution that enables people to become self-sufficient and independent.

This is being done by friends and friends of friends, together with you and JRMD team, through a worthwhile project that helps and  enables a community to build their own lives and become self-sufficient one day.

With your donations, JRMD continues to provide education to  the unprivileged kids, schooling at Iwacu Kazoza School.  This is only possible by continuing joining hands together to build the society and the world we want, that each one of us is longing to belong to and live in. From July 2013 – February 2015, $67,846.59 have been donated through GlobalGiving, by 191 donors and 8 of 191 donors are making their donations on monthly bases, through GlobalGiving.

I know there are a lot of other ways you could have spent this money, but you believe in our cause, so you chose to invest it in our project. Because of this investment, I want you to feel like part of our team. We're in this together. I want our success to be your success.

Because of you, today, Iwacu Kazoza School  is counted as one of the best schools in Cibitoke province even in the country of Burundi, of the schools providing  qualitative education. Students, parents and people  like  Iwacu Kazoza School. This is a good result of your work and our work together. We give thanks to our donors and GlobalGiving for making possible the education of these children, who could not have access to education without your financial help and prayers.

The school year 2014-2015 opened on September 1st, 2014, with 495 students, from grade 1-11, made by girls and boys, from Ruhagarika Village, surrounding areas and beyond. During this school year, Iwacu Kazoza School has 28 teachers and school administration staff being paid by JRMD, who are providing education to 495 students.

Until now,  we are still lacking funds to Roof 2 more additional classrooms (the 2 more additional classrooms to be roofed are at the stage of roofing), purchase teacher and student books, purchase more student benches, purchase 2 big plastic water tanks to secure water for the school, purchase 10 KW solar  panel and purchase more laptops.

Until our project is fully funded, we will be sending you regular reports about our work. You'll know what your donation has helped fund, what accomplishments we have achieved and what our current needs are.

I am very grateful and appreciative to each one of our donors, friends and friends of our friends who continue to make this project possible through their donations and prayers. May God continue to bless each one of you in a very special way.
