Goodbye, for now... But, we'll be back!

Dear friend,

I hope you are doing really well and I have no doubt you hit the ground running in 2023!

We wanted to reiterate once again how grateful we are for your support to our progam of Forest Therapies. It came when we most needed it. So, thank you for helping us launch the project.

And now we want to share the news that, after careful thought, and in response to new priorities in the local communities, we have decided to close this project and create a new and better one. The emphasis will be not only on rescuing traditional knowledge about the uses of rainforest medicinal plants but also on how, together with the local communities, we can together pave a way to give an economic value to the standing forest. We plan to do this through creating natural plant-based products.

By researching the medicinal plants of the Atlantic Rainforest and its forest-based products, we envision the Atlantic Rainforest as a vital source of health and income for the local community.

Once we have developed a range of these products, the next step will be to work with the local women to create microenterprises, thereby generating additional income for themselves and their families, while proving the economic value of the standing forest, and encouraging them to become forest advocates.

Stay tuned for the roll out of our new program! Spoiler alert - the title will be connected to Reviving Traditional Uses of Forest Plants.

Please join us if you can!

Much rainforest love from

 The Iracambi Team
