Meet with Komal......!!

My name is Komal and I am 33 years old. I live with my family in village. I have only two young children in my family. A few months ago, I was left unemployed due to covid-19 pandemic lockdown. By that time, the family and neighbor helped us a bit, but then we were left alone after some time, we started facing financial problems. After which I started going to the fields for the upbringing of my family, but even that could not meet our household expenses. I was looking for a skill so that I could get employment from home.

One day I got news from a neighbor that the training of garment making is going to be organized by the Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan in our village. There was no place for my happiness after hearing this. I immediately applied for this training and received regular two months garment making training. During training, I learned cutting, measuring and sewing of items like lehenga, salwar suit, kurti, blouse, rajputi dress, etc. The training was both practical and theoretical which made it easier for me to take the training. During training I got capacity building, life skills, EDP training which increased my confidence.

During the training, I used to go to the neighbor's house and practice sewing. During this time I also received sewing orders. I used to face a lot of problems due to not having a sewing machine. When the organization came to know about this, I was distributed a free sewing machine, so now after training, I am sitting at home and doing sewing work. Now I am getting blouse and Rajputi apparel orders from which I am earning 300 rupees per day. My family is happy now and I am able to provide good education and nutrition to my children. I thank the RSKS Organization and the donors through whom I have become self-reliant and self-employed today.

BE FREE: Sanitary Napkin Support During COVID-19

Menstruation is a part of the life of girls and women. Women and girls need to take special care of safety and hygiene during menstruation but even today it is seen that women and girls in rural and urban slum areas are not aware of menstrual health. Women are using non-traditional means such as old cloth, cotton, newspaper during menstruation. These women do not understand the importance of sanitary napkins. In the Corona era, the sanitary napkin was out of reach of women and this resulted in making the situation worse.

The program for menstrual health awareness and sanitary pads distribution was organized by the RSKS Organization during COVID-19. RSKS workers gave girls and women information about menstrual health through flip charts, posters, etc, as well as the utility of sanitary napkins by following the social distancing under the workshop organized there by selecting six inaccessible locations. Also explained through awareness videos, women got information about easy menstrual health. Under the workshop, the women openly inquired about their questions and at last 1000 sanitary napkins were distributed to all the girls and women who attended the workshop.

Free sanitary napkins were distributed to all women at the end of the program. A total of 1000 sanitary napkins were distributed by the RSKS Team members to around 500 women and young girls during COVID-19. At the end of the program, the message was given to women and young girls to use sanitary napkins. All the women and girls praised the program. Information of the program were also given to the authorities of villages, they also appreciated this program of RSKS and proposed to conduct such awareness programs from time to time. All the women thanked RSKS India for this wonderful support. Through this program, women became aware and also understood the usefulness of sanitary napkins.

Dry Food Relief to Marginalized Families....

Dear Patron !

The Covid-19 pandemic brought a lot of problems to everyone as employment was completely closed during the Corona period and the people were living on the savings they had and the people who had no or less savings started suffering the most. The people like Needy, Poor, Deprived and Slum are suffering the most. In our society, these people are forgotten, which is why these people are not able to be a part of the mainstream of society. These people are not rich and they work daily to be able to earn for their living but due to covid-19 and lockdown, they were unable to work. These people faced a lot of problems during the Corona period and ration was the biggest problem in front of them. After the closure of their small employment, these people started facing financial problems and then there were problems like ration and food in their house.

At such a time, the RSKS Organization extended a helping hand to these Extremely Poor, Needy, Daily wages labour, people living in different locations. Ration distribution was done with these people under the Covid-19 Ration And Relief Material Distribution Program run by the Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan with the support of donors & GG. Ration was distributed to around 350 families of inaccessible regional villages & slums. This program ensured food supply of these people for one month. The ration kits contained flour, pulses, rice, spices, soap oil, salt, sugar etc. All these people and their families were very happy with the ration kit. They got this ration at a time when they needed it most. Along with the ration kit, RSKS India also distributed hygiene kit to these people which contained masks, sanitizers etc.

Now these people are living a worry-free life and their whole family is getting food on time. Tension of these people was ended by getting ration kit and hygiene kit at the time of need. Now these people do not have to spread their hands in front of anyone. They have got an month of food security and they are getting two times meal every day. These people were also made aware of Covid-19 by RSKS team members and the use of hygiene kit, so that they would be safe during the Corona period. Now these people can easily search of new employment as now they do not have any tension of daily meal. All these people expressed their gratitude to the RSKS Organization and also praise noble work of the organization and thanked RSKS India and donors from bottom of their heart.
