Dear Donors,
Thank you for your interest in the Restore Ankpa Nature Forest: Plant 100,000 Trees project. At this time, no donations have been received, so land preparation and tree planting activities have not yet begun.
In Ankpa, the loss of forest cover has left the land exposed and fragile. Many areas that once had trees are now bare, leading to rising heat, soil erosion, and drying water sources. Families are beginning to feel the effects through reduced farm yield and harsh living conditions.
Without trees, the environment continues to weaken. Homes are at risk from erosion, and the natural balance that once supported both people and wildlife is gradually fading.
This project is designed to plant 100,000 native trees across affected areas, including farmlands, riverbanks, and village surroundings. It will also involve local participation to help maintain and protect the trees as they grow.
With time, restored tree cover can help cool the environment, protect the soil, and support the return of water sources. It can also improve living conditions and strengthen the land for farming again.
We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so this restoration work can begin and bring life back to Ankpa’s forest.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
