Hagar Cambodia provides quality aftercare to 25 girls who have been rescued from situations of sex trafficking and other forms of sexual abuse and exploitation in Cambodia.
This project addresses the serious and growing need for intensive, residential care for girls rescued from brothels and other situations of sexual exploitation in Cambodia. Hagar provides safety in a secure residential facility, along with holistic recovery services designed to meet each individual child's needs. Hagar operates one Aftercare Center in Phnom Penh and also serves girls through a community-based model in Kampong Thom, a three hour drive north.
Services are provided to girls from ages four to 14, and include counseling, medical care, legal support, and education, all in a nurturing environment.
This project will serve 25 girls who have suffered egregious human rights abuses. In some cases, the girls' recovery and empowerment will break a cycle of family abuse that has lasted several generations. Our goal is to restore broken lives.
