We want to thank you for making it possible for the children and adolescents we successfully welcome to enjoy a digital and respectful space where they can recover their rights and thus grow, develop and have a family.
CRAN is the temporary home of 62 children who enter between the ages of 0 and 8. It is also the space where people who control each one of the processes of the Foundation operate fully, thus achieving the well-being of our children.
Due to the difficult situation that the whole world is going through due to the Covid-19, at CRAN we have been forced to make a series of adjustments in the facilities that allow us to guarantee protection and care in matters of health and prevention of contagion. of the children and adolescents and the staff assisting in the care and attention of them who live in the foundation.
As a first half, in April the maintenance of the children's houses where maintenance and cleaning of the pipes of toilets, showers and sinks was done. Likewise, a shower was installed in a house located in the upper part of the foundation's premises, since it is adapted to preventively isolate new children from entering to prevent infections and comply with health regulations.
In order to have the appropriate space and offer the necessary care during the isolation, the rooms were adapted in the house in such a way that there were 4 beds per room, the corresponding cots in the room for children under 2 years of age, the timely operation of the bathrooms with hot water for the daily cleaning of the little ones and they put some cabinets so that they had the space to store their personal items in an organized way.
During the month of May, two sewage boxes were uncovered, leaks were fixed in the house of the rabbits, where 12 children are staying, between the ages of 3 and 6, and the hinges and plates of the doors of the loft.
In the chicken house, where the youngest children live, between 0 and 2 years old, a toilet that was broken was installed and a hand shower was installed to facilitate the bathing of babies. In the squirrel house where girls over 5 live, one of the showers was fixed that was not working.
Within the arrangements and maintenance, a mesh was put to prevent accidents in the kiosk sector, a space where children play and do different recreational activities, and the roofs were cleaned and maintained. With regard to the wooden parks, due to the constant use by children during this time of confinement, the various attractions, such as swings and wheels, have suffered deterioration and their immediate arrangement was made; the grass in the children's recreation and recreation areas was mowed.
To guarantee continuity in the educational processes of children, we carried out an expansion of the network, so that they thus have access to the connectivity that school virtuality demands at the moment. For the caregivers, the Wi-Fi network was also expanded so that they had permanent access to the internet and a rest room was adapted in the office area, since they are working 24-hour shifts to prevent contagion. A television was installed in this space, comfortable sofas and chairs were put in, board games were bought, they have a point of connectivity and a sound system was adapted so that they can relax listening to music.
Thanks to donations, CRAN managed to make the necessary adjustments and adjustments to provide well-being in the isolation caused by the pandemic. For your generous support, the Foundation continues to transform the lives of vulnerable children and adolescents in Colombia.

Queremos agradecerte por hacer posible que los niños, niñas y adolescentes que acogemos temporalmente, disfruten de un espacio digno y respetuoso en el que pueden recuperar sus derechos y así lograr crecer, desarrollarse plenamente y tener una familia.
CRAN es el hogar temporal de 62 niños que ingresan entre los 0 y los 8 años. Así mismo es el espacio donde trabajan personas que garantizan que cada uno de los procesos de la Fundación se cumpla a cabalidad, logrando así el bienestar de nuestros niños.
Debido a la difícil situación por la que atraviesa el mundo entero por el Covid-19, en CRAN nos hemos visto obligados a hacer una serie de adecuaciones en las instalaciones que nos permiten asegurar la protección y el cuidado en temas de salud y prevención de contagio de los niños, niñas y adolescentes y el personal que asiste para el cuidado y atención de ellos que viven en la fundación.
Como primera media, en abril se hizo el mantenimiento de las casas de los niños en donde se hace un mantenimiento y limpieza de la tubería de baños, duchas y lavamanos. Así mismo se instaló una ducha en una casa situada en la parte alta del predio de la fundación, pues se adecuó para hacer aislamiento preventivo de los niños que ingresan nuevos para prevenir contagios y dando cumplimiento a las normas de salud.
Para poder tener el espacio apropiado y ofrecer la atención necesaria durante el aislamiento, en la casa se adecuaron los cuartos de tal manera que hubiera 4 camas por cuarto, las cunas correspondientes en el cuarto para niños menores de 2 años, el funcionamiento oportuno de los baños con agua caliente para el aseo diario de los chiquitos y se pusieron unos armarios para que tuvieran el espacio para guardar sus elementos personales de manera organizada.
Durante el mes de mayo se destaparon dos cajas de alcantarillado de aguas negras, se arreglaron goteras en la casa de los conejos, donde se alojan 12 niños, entre los 3 y 6 años, y se hizo reposición de bisagras y chapas de las puertas del altillo.
En la casa de los pollos, donde viven los niños menores, entre 0 y 2 años, se instaló un sanitario que se había roto y se instaló una ducha de mano que facilita el baño de los bebés. En la casa de las ardillas donde viven las niñas mayores de 5 años, se arregló una de las duchas que no estaba funcionando.
Dentro de los arreglos y mantenimiento se puso una malla para prevenir accidentes en el sector de los quioscos, espacio donde los niños juegan y hacen diferentes actividades lúdicas, y se hizo limpieza y mantenimiento a los techos. Con respecto a los parques de madera, a causa del constante uso por parte de los niños durante este tiempo de confinamiento, las diversas atracciones, como columpios y rodaderos, han sufrido deterioro y se hizo su arreglo inmediato; el pasto que está en las áreas de recreación y esparcimiento de los niños fue podado.
Para garantizar la continuidad en los procesos educativos de los niños, realizamos una ampliación de la red, para que de esta manera ellos tuvieran acceso a la conectividad que les demanda la virtualidad escolar en estos momentos. Para las cuidadoras también se amplió la red wifi de manera que tuvieran acceso permanente a internet y en el área de las oficinas se adecuó un salón de descanso, puesto que están haciendo turnos de 24 horas previniendo el contagio. En este espacio se les instaló una televisión, se pusieron unos sofás y sillas cómodas, se compraron juegos de mesa, tienen un punto de conectividad y se les adaptó un equipo de sonido para que puedan relajarse escuchando música.
Gracias a las donaciones CRAN logró hacer los ajustes y adecuaciones necesarias para dar bienestar en el aislamiento producto de la pandemia. Por tu generoso apoyo la Fundación continúa transformando las vidas de niños, niñas y adolescentes en situación de vulnerabilidad en Colombia.
