Consolidating the Carbon Credits project

By Maria Varela | Project Leader

Consolidating the Carbon Credits project.

¡All the steps we have taken have brought us to the year 2024!

  • The pre-feasibility studies we have carried out recommend us to consider only new plantations and to discard the 2166 hectares already planted in previous years.
  • Our goals continue to rise and so do the farming families.
  • The steps are firm this year 2024.
  • We are going to develop the Project Design Document (PDD).
  • There is a lot of research to be done in the 32 communities of our Carbon Credits project involving 5 districts of Cusco in the highlands of Peru.
  • Biodiversity studies of flora and fauna, environmental impact study, carbon baseline, socio-economic baseline, and ensuring the non-existence of archaeological remains.
  • It is key for the project to strengthen the governance of the peasant communities, through their Boards of Directors and their communal assemblies, and to work with them on their communal and family life plans.
  • Farming families are the protagonists of their future.
  • We are all joining forces for the same objective: "Certifying the project" with the Plan Vivo standard.
  • We hope to have very good news for our next report and to continue counting on your contribution.

We continue Planting Prosperity.
