Project Report | Oct 7, 2014
School construction (2)

By Lucien Mabwe | Project Leader

The 2014-2015 school year has begun at the Glenn Paige Nonkilling School. Many inhabitants fled to Kazimia , following numerous confrontations that have occurred recently in the area between the Mayi Mayi Combatants and Governmental Army (FARDC) .
This increases the number of students at the school . Glen Paige Nonkilling School is an appropriate institution , which allows the people victim of war (without resource) to be able to educate their children. The school truly fulfills its role . Asukulu Lubomo a recent displaced person from war stated in these terms " Kupitia Masomo Hiyi , sisi wakimbizi wa vita , tutaweza kusomesha watoto wetu " This Kiswahili sentence means in English "Through this school , we moved from war can to educate our children. "

We regret that our Yamaha engine 55 horsepower , which serves as a self- funding to pay teachers , was requisitioned by the Governmental Army fighting against the rebels combatants from May to September 2014. This deprived the School of essential revenue.
We thank the Center for Global Nonkilling (Hawaii) who just donate us a big wood boat which will be sailed by the engine .
As for the construction , we just bought bricks, cement bags in Uvira and we expect our boat ,under repair, to transport this construction material to Kazimia .

We thank our donors for their support to our cause. They accomplish a noble and memorable work. Their names will be engraved forever for the welfare of Congolese youth and especially Kazimia children.

We will be proud to receive suggestion to Improve the quality of our work. Thank you to all.
