Project Report | Dec 27, 2016
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2017 !

By Mabwe Lucien | Project Leader

The first quarter of the 2016-2017 school year has just ended at the Glenn Paige Nonkilling School. The students had good results. The success rate is estimated at 94.7%.

On the day of proclamation (December 17) many parents came to the School to attend this joyous ceremonies. What songs! What dances!

Parents took the opportunity to visit our construction site where the masons were building ; some parents remained bending to exercise to bring this and that to the masons. One of the parents, also said “tuhitilela ihwatelecha metu masomo mawe lubero”. This phrase in kibembe (spoken local language) means 'that we will help more so that the work ends quickly'.

Indeed, the materials are ready and the work of concreting begins.

Unfortunately, these festive hours at the School have contrasted enormously with the general security context of the region. People were afraid and the anguish was alarming. The armed groups and the government soldiers were on alert. It is a period of end of the mandate of the President of the Republic when there is no solution on the elections and on the future institutions that should direct the country.

About this confused situation, a deemed leader said in kibembe language ” Mukangure masomo na mamulo mu  me’se mose batu bamanye ilonga alembe” that means "You should establish Schools and Universities Nonkilling in all countries so that people will learn to keep peace"

We act for peace and we keep hope.

Dear beloved, at the end of 2016, we would like to thank you for having supported. Your generosity has touched us ; we would not have reached this stage without your support. You make the world a pleasant place to live. Let us hope your continuing  support  until project completion. Thank you for your suggestions.

Wishing you and your Family peace and joy in this holiday season.

Happy New Year 2017!
