Project Report | Mar 7, 2019
School construction 17

By Mabwe Lucien | Project Leader

The presidential and legislative elections were peaceful in our region. We feared the worst with the proclamation of results, but peace prevailed. Even if the one whose people voted for the most part was not declared the winner of the elections, it did not prompt the countless armed groups to begin hostilities.

The new authorities are a source of general appeasement in our region and some armed groups express the desire to join national defense. Since the elections, school activities have been held in a serene and peaceful atmosphere.

Construction, for its part, is advancing slowly but surely; currently we are hoarding boards for the frame. The works supervisor makes it clear that "Ijapokuwamachafukoyakisiasanamvua kali, majengoyanaendeleavizuri". This Kiswahili sentence means in English "Despite the political and climatic disturbances, construction work is progressing well".

We sincerely thank our various donors who support us and have made this project theirs. They defend noble ideals.

Together we always dream of a world of peace, equity and where killings would be banned...

Suggestion are welcome.

No more killing!
