At Glenn Paige Nonkilling School, students are in the final exam period to complete the 2017-2018 school year.
It's a very difficult school year when the school was paralyzed:
- During three weeks by the cholera epidemic that killed 2 pupils
- By a war between the government forces and the armed group called Yakutumba.
At the end of this war, several students (53) left the country by going into exile with their parents
However, we note that 12 students were able to return to the School bringing to 129 the total number of students who took the exams.
The security situation is generally calm and we hope it will remain so.
Our effort and that of populations to rehabilitate the public tap on the site of the School has run into lack of funds to buy appropriate pipes of water pipe. Contributions are being made now.
We have just recruited new masons to start the construction work (Different materials are available). We would like some rooms to be ready to welcome students next September.
"Marafiki wa masomo yetu, msitusahu" This call comes from the Director of the School and means in English "Dear Glenn Paige Ninkilling School'friends do not forget us".
Indeed, dear friends, together let our children have a healthy and clean School, guarantee their future by acting for a new world without killings.
Your donation is welcome and wish to have your criticism to do better.
Happy Holidays to all !
