My name is Bandibana, I am 13 years old, I have a disability of 2 legs. For a year I have been living in Lushagala Internally displaced persons camp (IDP) with my uncle Sengi near Goma. I did not know to read or write because in my village in Bwito territory before war, everyone went to the fields and children to school. It was not possible for me to go to school because of mountain. I stayed at home.
Since I am in this IDP camp, I was lucky, they found me a teacher. I am happy because I learned to read, to write even to count.
And I have friends. We sing, play and have fun moment. I sell donuts and I keep the money well.
I thank Children’s Voice and its partners for giving me this learning opportunity.
