Leonard was borne in Baru town. He describes himself as a humble person, who wants to succeed in life.
His grandmother, who he deeply loves, because as he says, he became the man he is thanks to her dedication and effort, raised him.
He remembers his days at school as happy days. Back then, he used to get together with his friends to play and study.
When he still was a little boy, he used to watch how the ocean and the sky became one and that is when his dream of becoming a pilot started. He tried hard but then realized it was not the time for him, because it was to expensive.
Despite that, as his passion is to study, he decided to go back to school.
He signed on the program to be an Assistant in room service and he is currently working in a Hotel located in his community.
In his new work he had learned the importance of solidarity and teamwork as well as the importance of education, because as he says “Education open doors”. He dreams of all his community members going to school so that they can get a job that makes them happy (as he is) and that help them to have a better quality of life.
Leonard also thinks about the possibility of owning a business, a grocery store, he says. He thinks of being his own boss.
