We have worked hard to ensure our own reforestation project is succesful, making sure we have a fine tuned operation, from seedling to grown tree. However, we know it is not enough to cause the impact we want to have in the region, helping create a green belt around the Guanabara Bay.
This is why our efforts have also been dedicated to mobilizing like-minded agents that are working with agroecological solutions in the area: planting agroforestry systems, cultivating native trees, working with green jackfruit, etc.
Last month, we hosted an encounter with women that lead different initiatives in the region, promoting networking and best practice sharing, and establishing a community so that we can all move forward protecting the Guanabara Bay with our initiatives, together. We are convinced that rather than just focusing within our own borders, but expanding and engaging with key agents, our impact will be greater!
A big thank you to all our donors who support our work. Stay tuned for more stories.
