Construction of our new native tree nursery is currently underway, covering an area of 800 square meters. Once completed, the nursery will play a critical role in supporting the reforestation of 20 hectares of degraded land, strengthening our biological corridor and biodiversity. This effort builds on the project’s previous achievements, which include the successful reforestation of 30 hectares, representing close to 50,000 trees already planted.
Beyond its environmental impact, the nursery is designed as a long-term investment in people. It will serve as a practical training platform for young people from the Baixada Fluminense, providing hands-on experience in native plant production, land restoration, and sustainable land management. Through this initiative, participants will gain valuable skills and knowledge aligned with sustainability-related professions, improving their employment prospects while contributing directly to climate resilience and ecological recovery in the region.
