Students from Rocinha returned to Sinal do Vale to celebrate Earth Day, strengthening their connection with nature through hands-on activities. Together with a local artist, they created a vibrant mural honoring the planet, painting the wall of our new seedling nursery. This nursery, which is nearing completion and will significantly expand our reforestation capacity, is set to open next month.
The group shared a lunch featuring locally grown products from Sinal, including jackfruit, turmeric, and other seasonal foods, offering a direct connection to the land and its abundance. They also had the chance to visit the waterfall, making the day both educational and experiential—an opportunity to reconnect with nature while contributing to a space dedicated to regeneration.
