You made 2014 a Year to Remember

Last year was an exciting year for TMSC family and it's all because of YOU!

YOU enabled us to feed our 267 children lunch at the school, provide school supplies, and medical care.

Our grade eight national exams were very fulfilling, we didn’t have any failure in our school. All have received letters to join high school.

YOU have made these children smile

YOU empowered them to stay in school.

You have given them another chance in life they would have never experienced

YOU have made them discover their talents. 

We know that without you all these cannot happen and we appreciate your efforts and sacrifice towards your children here in Kenya. You are a great blessing in their lives and these marks will never be forgotten. Your names will remain in their heart and at Tumaini forever!

As we continue to work together it is our prayer that you will continue to pass on this information to your families, friends and even share on your social pages. This will help us expand our donor family and enable us to give the best to your children and reach to more. We have more children out there who are still waiting for us to support them and we hope this year our donor family will expand to enable us reach out to them. Fantastic Results!

You made our children proud! Last year’s exam results were wonderful! We have four students from our school joining national schools! This is always not easy as national school are our best schools in the country and when a student has been called in one of these schools, there is always a guarantee they will make it to university.

Helen is one of our girls who has been admitted in a national school. Helen is an orphan staying with her grandmother! We are proud of her and she was very much focused. Helen didn’t have this focus when she first joined tumaini you changed her when you gave her a second. Your support in providing her with the basic needs, free education, food made her comfortable and she settled to work hard in her education. You enable her learn in a very conducive environment and all these has been achieved because of your efforts.

We have 24 children who are supposed to join high school this year and it is in this regard that we are requesting you to share about Tumaini with your friends and on your social pages. Our high school education is very expensive and it is not free, we are happy that our children have been admitted in national schools, but when we see the fees structures we get scared. Sharing about the high school education will help us expand our donor family and we will be able to pay school fees for our children. They get discouraged when they don’t join schools that they were admitted in because of lack of school fees and sometimes when we can’t raise the fees we have to take them to village schools which demoralize their efforts.

 It is another time of the year when many things happening including the education sector. It was fun and adventure for our young pupils to realize that they were actually joining the primary school and they were no longer babies. It was an adventure to see how happy we were to see them jump over!

These young once started their school in baby class between the age of 2 and 3, after one year they joined middle class and the third year they joined pre- school. All these years have been an adventure for them. They are excited and happy start the new life in primary school. They are well prepared and they love school.
I believe it is also an adventure for you our beloved donors! These children are the way they are just because you did something. You provided the porridge they needed at 10 o’clock to keep them going. You provided the lunch they needed to remain in school; you provided the happiness they needed to enjoy learning. I know seeing them like this is truly an adventure, it is a good feeling, it is something to be remembered for forever!

Your recurring sponsorship for our children is making a huge difference in the lives of these children and we can see it every year. It doesn’t matter how small or big it is, but the difference, the results are just tremendous! The children are having the greatest learning environment, they are fed and they remain in school all the school days. Our teachers are doing a great job and all is because of you. You have made us achieve these and as the time goes by, we will realize the difference in our community.

As usual the need is high and we are doing what we can to make this happen. I believe if we will continue to share the word with our friends and friends our friends, we will be able to reach those who are still on the queue, hoping to find help. Global giving have several matches this month and next month, consider sharing with friends so that we can be able to expand our resources to do better. A word of mouth, sharing on your social pages will make this happen, let us get involved in this campaign to raise funds for these children.
