National Exams and end of second semester

By Rose Bugusu | Director

Eighth grade graduation
Eighth grade graduation

It has been so painful to see our students struggling to cope with the new lifestyle due to covid-19. Wearing masks and washing hands every time they are outside has been a challenge to so many especially the young ones.  Teachers in most of the schools have been on their toes, making sure that the learners are following the instructions to carb spread the virus.

We have had no cases so far, all the learners are safe and healthy. The three months have been busy, bringing the learners back to the learning mode and preparing the eighth graders for their final primary exams. We have come to the end of the semester which has been treated as the second semester. We are looking forward to the year 2023 when our calendar will normalize for now we are struggling to understand the academic calendar.

Our eighth-grade students' graduation ceremony was wonderful. We had several entertainments from our learners and everything was lively. We believe all our students are going to pass their exams and they will all join the high school in July.

Currently, we have 312 learners at Tumaini School, we have 50 learners who are waiting to find sponsorship. All the 50 learners have lost their fathers and they live in abject poverty. These learners came on board during our covid 19 relief food program. Our sponsorship program is not doing well, we are overwhelmed. We believe in you, this far is you, and we know you can make it happen as you have always done. Kindly share our cause with family and friends, reveal to them what you have done in the lives of the orphaned and needy.  Share with them the needs and together let's expand our donor circle for the betterment of the needy. We are the chosen to change lives. Without YOU, where would be these children? Thank you for what you are doing.

We love you, we appreciate you! Remember together we can.
