Faith is one of the lucky pupils that are in the sponsorship program. Faith is energetic 15 years old girl who is passionate about education. Faith is in grade 10 at St Mary’s Secondary School. She lives in Dambwa site with her mother and two siblings. Her mother is a businesswoman who sells fritters as her source of income.
She has been on sponsorship for a while now and she is grateful for the sponsorship because it has boosted her academically knowing her school fees are paid for and will not be sent back home. She enjoys studying whenever she gets the chance and her academic performance has greatly improved.
During awards day at her school, she was awarded a certificate as the best performing learner in biology for all the grade 10’s, something that requires a lot of hard work to be the first out of a lot of other learners.
With such great achievement, it is clear that sponsorship indeed promotes a positive and healthy attitude among the sponsored children.
As for her future dreams, faith is looking forward to becoming a very successful lawyer and helping young girls faced with injustice find justice.
