The Sponsor a Child program continues to impact 117 students to date, providing students with a free education and resources to excel in the classroom. Our Sponsor a Child coordinator continuously checks in with students to make sure they are maintaining their grades and if they need any additional help outside of the classroom. Every student has been incredibly impacted and we are always so excited to watch our students excel.
In particular, one of the students whose life has been changed by this program is Tim. Tim is the first born in a family of 10 siblings. Growing up has been difficult journey for him and his siblings as his parents do not work and they have lived in a rural village with little access to resources. Tim was struggling to receive his education and finally he found himself on the African Impact Foundation sponsorship program. Due to the sponsorship program, he excelled in school and eventually was certified to become a teacher in Zambia. In the end, the Government of Zambia offered him a job and today is his first day at school as a teacher! He is very happy and shares his joy.
He says that, with this job, he will be able to help his siblings to go to school. He also exclaims, "a huge thank you to African Impact Foundation for their good work".
The Sponsor a Child program continues to be a successful program, educating students across Zambia. In 2018, we hope to exceed our goal of educating 150 students this year. We are so thankful for all of your support and eager to watch the sponsorship program grow. Cheers to education!
