Dear Supporter,
Aloosh, a Syrian displaced person in his thirties, lives a humble life with his wife and child. His life took a tragic turn when an airstrike hit his city of Al-Bab while he was on his way to school. The attack left him with a severe injury, resulting in the amputation of his right leg above the knee. This amputation forced him to leave school and disrupted his ability to work, leaving his family in difficult circumstances.
Despite these challenges, Aloosh is determined to return to school, complete his education, and pursue a degree in journalism. His dream is to become the voice of those who have suffered under the horrors of war and oppression.
Through the Steps to Recovery: Supporting Syrian Amputees project, NSPPL provided Aloosh with a prosthetic limb, giving him the ability to walk again and live independently. Now, he can work to support his family while pursuing his passion for journalism.
Aloosh shared, "I feel absolute happiness now that I can walk on my prosthetic limb. My main goal and focus is to achieve my dream of studying journalism."
Your generous support makes stories like Aloosh’s possible. With your continued help, we can empower more individuals to regain their independence and pursue their dreams.
Thank you for being a part of this journey.
With gratitude,
