Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting the Support 1,500 Malaria Patients with Medication project. We sincerely appreciate your generosity and concern for families affected by one of Nigeria's most common and deadly diseases.
Malaria continues to place a heavy burden on low-income households across the country. Many families cannot afford the cost of diagnosis, medication, and clinic visits. As a result, people delay treatment until their condition becomes severe. Children, pregnant women, and elderly people are particularly vulnerable to serious complications when malaria is not treated promptly.
We are grateful for the donations received so far. However, the funds currently available are not sufficient to begin implementation of the project. Additional support is needed before medications can be procured, distributed to participating clinics, and made available to vulnerable patients.
This project aims to provide antimalarial medicines for 1,500 patients receiving care in rural clinics and underserved urban communities. Health workers will distribute treatment, provide guidance on medication use, and educate patients on recognizing warning signs that require immediate medical attention. The project will also help participating facilities respond more effectively to increased patient demand.
Early treatment remains one of the most effective ways to prevent severe malaria, hospitalization, and death. Access to medication can help patients recover more quickly, reduce household financial burdens, and limit disruptions to work, school, and daily activities. It can also help reduce the spread of malaria within affected communities.
We remain committed to implementing this project and continue working toward the resources needed to launch the first phase. As progress is made, we look forward to sharing updates, photographs, and stories from the patients and communities that will benefit from this support.
Thank you for helping make malaria treatment more accessible to families who need it most.
Warm regards,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
