Project Report | Feb 11, 2014
God's Love Home and School progress

By James mukiibi | Project Leader

2014 already has the promise of amazing things to come. And we owe a lot of that to you.

In GlobalGiving’s December challenge we were thrilled that over 240 people supported us and gave over £7000

Thanks to your support, we are on track to help our children to solve problems better and seize opportunities. You are helping to ensure that every child has the best possible start .we're working to improve lives and strengthen communities. And together we're doing it faster, leaner, and better. Julius, Christine, Beatrice and I are extremely grateful that you're helping us get there.

We have had cases of kwashiorkor in a few children like Fiona but I am glad to inform you that your generosity is gradually ironing out this. Enjoy the change in Fiona from when she had kwashiorkor and her current status after your support by attached photo.

Some of our children in nursery section at God Love School graduated to primary one and those in primary one to primary two. It was an amazing celebration! See photo for graduates alongside their head teacher Mr.Julius.

In December 2013, you and hundreds of others stepped forward to support the God’s Love Home work in 2014. What an amazing outpouring. Your incredible generosity will help us expand in key areas

Including:

Improving the diet of GLH children to both improve health and learning.

Expanding God’s Love School to primary two. So more classroom desks and chalkboard are needed, as well as teacher’s salaries but future school fees due will be reduced.

  • * School fee debts will be paid

Providing critical job skills to 3 children in vocational college.

Increasing access to HIV/AIDS treatment and other lifesaving care in our community?

Things to pray for are;-Provision on feeding, School fees provision, Children and staff at GLH and School.

Because of you, I'm even more confident that we can reach our ambitious goals for this year. And we look forward to updating you on our progress so you can see just how valuable and important your support is.

On behalf of all of us here at the God’s Love Home, thank you for starting 2014 with such a tremendous demonstration of support.

Sincerely,

James Mukiibi
