Hygiene Promotion at Border Crossing Points
Border crossing points are among the most critical locations for Ebola prevention due to the high volume of daily movement. Because of your support, hygiene promotion efforts at these crossings are making a significant difference.
With your contributions, handwashing stations have been established and maintained at key crossing points, accompanied by clear messaging on the importance of hand hygiene. Volunteers and local leaders are also encouraging travelers to use these facilities consistently.
As a result, many individuals are now adopting handwashing as a routine practice when crossing the border. This simple yet effective intervention is helping reduce the risk of virus transmission between communities.
In addition, increased visibility of hygiene practices is reinforcing awareness and encouraging others to follow suit. Travelers are becoming more conscious of their role in preventing the spread of Ebola.
Your support is helping transform border crossings into safer environments—protecting both individuals and the communities they connect.
