Life is better

By Rina Lazo | Director of Benefactor Services

The baby is 1 year and two months old, she entered Casa Jackson on October 25, 2017 due to moderate malnutrition and was referred by the Health Center of Escuintla, community of which she and her parents are natives.
At the time of admission, she was evaluated by the doctor and the nutritionist on duty, and when they were evaluated, they observed that she suffers from a strong stomach reflux, caused by intolerance to certain components of the food that the parents gave her. Currently, he is under strict medical treatment and a special diet so that his stomach does not have problems during digestion, since the source of his malnutrition was to start vomiting constantly, and this made him lose weight in a short time, and before the situation with her it was more serious, the parents sought the corresponding medical help.
As for the history of the family environment, the mother of the baby, is 21 years old, did not finish primary school, for this reason, she does not have a job to help her baby, besides that she is currently in a state of gestation. The father of family, is the only economic support of the family, who works as a farmer in farms or places where they require their services, but this work activity is very unstable, so there are days or weeks without work that affect in a very big way , the economy of these, is forced to look for work constantly.
The baby, who is under the care of Casa Jackson and her staff, receives an ideal treatment for her health situation, and thanks to this, when she recovers, she will have the opportunity to grow and develop physically and mentally normally, because if she does not it is treated in time, the consequences could be irreversible.
