Because of You, Haneen Overcame Malnutrition!

By Baraa Ali | Fundraising Officer

Dear Supporter,

Your generosity is helping save children from the devastating effects of malnutrition in northern Syria. Because of your compassion, vulnerable children are receiving the nutrition, treatment, and care they urgently need to survive and recover.

Across northern Syria, malnutrition continues to threaten the lives of countless children, especially those under the age of five. Years of conflict, poverty, displacement, and limited access to nutritious food and clean water have left many families unable to protect their children from hunger and illness.

Today, we want to share the story of Haneen.

Haneen is a 7-month-old baby girl who was suffering from severe malnutrition when she was reached by SEMA’s dedicated field team. Her fragile body was weakened by hunger, and she urgently needed medical and nutritional support.

Thanks to your donations, Haneen received the life-saving care she needed. With proper treatment, close follow-up, and compassionate support, her condition improved significantly.

Today, Haneen is healthier, stronger, and full of hope.

Her recovery is a powerful reminder of what your support makes possible. Your donation does more than provide food or treatment — it helps rescue children from life-threatening malnutrition and gives families the chance to see their children grow, smile, and thrive.

But the need is far from over. For every child like Haneen who receives care, many more are still waiting for urgent help. They are relying on the compassion of supporters like you.

Thank you for standing with children in northern Syria and for making life-saving care possible when it is needed most.

With heartfelt gratitude,
