Penndco Parents Committee Supports our program!
Dear Donors,
Thank you to everyone who continues to support our Literacy Master Map program during hard times. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 we are unable to resume our Reading program. However, we continue to recommend books to our students to read at home. Reading develops stronger social skills, vocabulary and build foundation for communication. We also encourage parents to read to children every day. Reading to children stimulates them to read books by themselves and further develop their cognitive skills. We believe that our young readers will continue to read daily, and we hope to greet the smiling faces again soon.
To encourage reading we are sharing fun and interactive websites, and ideas to read the books and to make the art projects! Every family report as well as feedback counts!

Reading Practice with Parents

Dear our Donors,
We appreciate your support especially during COVID -19 pandemic time. We follow the federal and state guidance on COVID-19 health and safety practices, and support Penndco families to continue encouraging their children in improving reading skills.
We are happy to get a feedback from parents regarding home reading practice with a child. Our goal is motivating every little reader with fun learning activities and creative extensions. Ilia's Mom shared that home reading and playing in home library area is very important for her son. Daily reading at home is very valuable for all children.
We are happy to know that all our children are healthy and safe, and they are waiting to come back to the classroom.

Reading During the Summer 2020

Dear our Donors,
We would like to first thank our sponsors for the help and for supporting our Literacy Master Map Program. Also, we would like to thank all the parents for the support and your involvement this year. Unfortunately, due to COVID19 we were unable to finish the program with our annual end of the year celebration. During these challenging times, thanks to today’s technology, we were able to stay connected and support our students and families. Reading teaches students to build their knowledge and vocabulary to achieve a greater understanding of what they read. Being a reader not only prepares students to meet their academic challenges – it has the power to transform who students are and how they see the world. We believe that our young readers will continue to read during the Summer 2020 and make reading as part of their everyday routines. Kirill's parents shared how their son loves to read the books, and they appreciate Penndco reading specialists and all supporters.
We hope that our Literacy Master Map Program will continue next year, and we will be able to welcome our students back into the classroom.
Penndco families appreciate your support, and all children enjoy the new books and activities. Again and again we would like to thank all our donors and supporters!
