Project Report | May 9, 2022
Young Readers

By Tetyana Varenychenko | Project Leader

Dear our Donors!

We would like to share with you that our education year comes to an end. We were happy to finally be back in the classroom and to have our reading in person with communication with each other.

We would like to first thank our sponsors for the help and for supporting our Literacy Master Map Program. Also, we would like to thank all the parents for the support and help with getting the kids ready and here for every class. The kids worked hard and really enjoyed listening to stories, participating in the activities, and making projects. While reading, we made predictions about the text and used picture clues.

We worked on connecting ideas to what children already know. All the kids showed significant interest in many subjects that we covered. Children did projects to support Ukraine during this difficult time. Alex and Milana shared their art works: We Stand with Ukraine!

Children also brought and shared their favorite books with the class. Our engaging reading program helps students improve their reading skills and build a lifelong love of books. We believe that our young readers will continue to read during the summer and make reading as part of their everyday routines.

We thank the sponsors again for giving us the opportunity to host our Literacy Master Map Program and hope that the program will continue next school year starting form September 2022.

Sincerely,

Tetyana Varenychenko
