Summary

When critically ill children arrive at the Children Hospital we have loving hands and leading edge technologies waiting to achieve the miracle of their recovery. Every year we serve an average of 34.000 children, where 45% (15.300) of them belong to the poorest strata of society and suffer from diseases like: Cancer, skin burns, renal dysfunction, premature birth or are underweight or disabled. Donations allow us to bring medical equipment up to international standards

Challenge

Caring for critically ill children requires technology with costly and constantly changing medical equipment. With such equipment, doctors are able to perform the best clinical practices, and children can be taken care of at the same hospital, reducing healthcare processing risk and achieving the benefits expected for their prompt recovery

Solution

How the problem will be solved: Donations from supportive people from all over the world enable renovation and investment on high technology medical equipment so doctors can perform the best clinical practices and children can be cared for at the same hospital, reducing care processing risks and achieving the expected benefits of their prompt recovery.

Long-Term Impact

Beneficiaries: 34,000 children. Critically ill children can be cared for in one hospital, reducing processing risks and achieving the benefits expected for their prompt recovery. No. of tests required by the patient and carried out at the Hospital. Percentage of remissions for exams that are carried out with high technology equipment No. of innovation processes using high technology equipment No. of cases of children in which high technology saves lives or deters risky complications.
