We Need Your Help!

By Banker White | Director

To Our Wonderful Global Giving Supporters,

Autumn is the perfect time for reflecting, regrouping and reviewing. And that’s exactly what we’re doing at The Genius of Caring. We’re currently in the process of figuring out how to make our website and resources more helpful and supportive for our community. That’s you.

Will you help us?

If you have purchased or rented The Genius of Marian on iTunes or plan to, will you add a review? You can also leave a review on Rotten Tomatoes.

Complete a survey about our Genius of Caring website. Your answers will be kept private, but if you wish to include your email address we’ll enter you into a prize draw: Sure, I'll take the survey!

We also want to tell more stories about the caregiving experience, like the ones we have produced about Pam and Ed’s journey. Do you know somebody (an amazing caregiver) who may be interested in appearing in one of our Video Portraits? Please put us in touch.

Why your help really matters.

You’re a member of our community, and we’re here to facilitate discussion and offer resources that help. We want to make sure the content we create is meaningful. That’s why we’re listening!

Come Explore and Join our Community!

This month we are talking about the power of Story. Stories can help us make sense of a difficult situation. They speak across cultures, bringing us together through the things we share in common. Stories ground us in the beautiful and painful thing that is the human experience.

The Genius of Caring blog features posts from family caregivers sharing the triumphs and difficulties of loving and taking care of their loved one living with Alzheimer’s disease. Individuals have shared with us through email and social media the sense of belonging and community they experience from engagement with our conversations.

Have a look at one of our guest posts on our Conversations page: Alzheimer's: 20/20 Hindsight by Jane Gayer "It's easy to be knowledable about events after they happened, but sometimes very difficult to catch things as they unfold. I guess that's where the old axiom about 20/20 hindsight comes from."

We hope you’ll consider sharing our website on social media, so others can experience the power of these stories. You can even add your own story to the community, if you haven’t already.

Together, we look forward to growing The Genius of Caring into a rich, diverse community. Thank you for your ongoing support.
