The past quarter at TWEENS was highlighted by the successful examination registration of six A-level students, made possible through critical funding from Duolingo and GlobalGiving. Our academic reach expanded through the Zimpact Schools Initiative with USAP Community School alumni providing educational support, and a promising new partnership with Tambai, Zimbabwe. Representatives from Tambai visited our center in March and were deeply impressed by our impact, leading to a commitment to support TWEENS through specialized training and resource sharing. This partnership is set to enhance our capacity for innovation, focusing on leveraging sports, arts, and life-skills training to empower our students.
Furthermore, engagement with AU representatives regarding the TagDev 2.0 program has empowered our students with essential guidance for their future university applications. Our transition into April saw the launch of holiday lessons and a robust extracurricular schedule including sports and arts. These activities, coupled with our monthly community cleaning campaigns and productive parent meetings, continue to foster a collaborative and nurturing environment. We remain committed to holistic growth, ensuring that our students receive more than just classroom instruction, but also the leadership and teamwork skills necessary for long-term success.
