Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, Development Alert has continued supporting community preparedness and awareness as the Ebola situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo remains extremely serious.
The latest reporting shows the scale of the challenge. WHO reported 7,890 confirmed cases and 3,799 deaths in DRC as of 23 September, with cases reported across 63 health zones in seven provinces.
By early October, DRC government figures reported approximately 8,300 confirmed cases and 4,018 deaths, making this the largest and deadliest Ebola outbreak in the country's history.
For communities living near affected areas and international borders, this situation reinforces the importance of vigilance, hygiene, accurate information, early reporting, and strong community engagement.
Development Alert is committed to supporting practical community-led approaches that complement broader public health efforts.
Thank you for helping us remain engaged during this difficult emergency. Your support is helping communities understand the risks, prepare responsibly, and take practical measures that can protect families and save lives.
