We had an exciting and pithy summer in Way to the Future Program.
We had an encounter group, its topic was conflict management, after this group each children (36) took part in a summer camp.
In the conflict management group children had opportunity to pick up knowledge about reguls of verbal and nonverbal communication, use empathy, have experience about their impact, how important for them to contol others. Children liked playful exercises, they were more active in situational games.
In July the summer camp came after. Its place was Mezokövesd. (It is a little town in North part of Hungary.) The weather was good, not so hot, so each participant enjoyed the camp. There were a lot of exciting and useful programs. They went to a good lido and visited good museums. The most interesting was Matyó Museum, this museum shows old trades and the visitors can try these trades. Another very interesting museum was a blind exhibition. In this museum was full darkness and visitors had to touch trivial objects, and solve everyday situations. They visited an Eco-Centre at Poroszló, sailed on Tisza-Lake, watched a movie about one day of the lake (water).
In free times there were creative occasions, children made bracelets, windchimes.
The children are very thankful for camping, that was a great experience for them.
Thank You your former grant and please support our children in next months as well.
