Incorporating boys in Girls' projects
A way forward towards a balanced society
Although all governments across the globe advocate for a balanced society; other development partners mainly are instead focusing on the issues that empower women and girls living alone the issues that partakes a boy child. This has been a very serious debate among the proprietors of Kole Intellectual Forum whose aims are contribute towards the development of Human societies in Uganda.
The question that they raised is to find out how they can equally contribute towards a balanced society in their area of operation in Kole District Northern Uganda. A consensus was then arrived at in that: they would always remain focus on Empower a Girl: For Self-Reliance in Uganda meanwhile at the same time been developing programs that incorporate the boys projects. Although this may fully contribute fully the well balanced society; but to certain extent be recognized a step forwards towards the struggles to bring about a balanced society.

Girls of the Institute: transformation process
Transforming the lives of the givers and receivers
From 2016, it is now about 7 years of Kole Intellectual Forum’s dedication to offer services that can support the needs of their communities around the areas of their jurisdiction. Kole Intellectual Forum is building a team that is committed to an equitable and inclusive working environment.
We sincerely believing that: if we use the fund we are receiving from GlobalGiving for the purpose asked for and we give our time or these resources to others, we will move from the issue of “I” to the “We”. That is: the approach of giving which will have an element of transforming to the lives of the givers as much as that of receivers.

Empowering them to empower themselves & others

Empowering them to empower themselves and others
Building self confidence to themselves before others have confidence on themselves.
A part from empowering them: they (the students) are being encouraged by the Institute of Home Economics to empower themselves; before they can think of empowering others, their communities and their societies.
In the core training of Home Economics that calls in for Clothing and textiles among other subjects like, food and nutrition, child development, hygiene and sanitation, and budgeting; the Institute of Home Economics through the continuous monthly support from the donors on the platform of GlobalGiving; its management has been able to provide the learners with the basic and more useful equipments necessary for training; and the ideas of empowerment have been truly tested from the learners themselves.
A case in place is that: the clothes the two students are putting on, are being procured by the management of the Institute; support their Instructor to empower them through skilling; and ask them to produce quality clothes for themselves as you can see from the picture. The students who are standing around them with pieces of clothes are waiting for their turn to make theirs and the cycle of empowerment is as good as it has started to take up the shape.
