Why students need to learn on their own?
Why students need to learn on their own?
This is a model of training developed by Kole Intellectual Forum in which the learners take the initiative to acquire knowledge using their own resources; and, they take charge of their own studying outside their classroom, without direct supervision from their instructors; of course, this allows the student to take control of how, what, when, and where they can learn.
Through the approach alone, the students have boosted their self-esteem and self-reflection and they have become more confident in their learner skills. They have also become independent in what they are doing before they are pass out to face world outside in reality.

Counseling and Guiding the students
Counseling & Guiding the Girls
With Kole Intellectual Forum design to train their students with the ideal concept of counseling and guidence at their Institute of Home Economics; they came to learn that: Counseling typically follows a series of overlapping stages. Initially, according to the concept they realize the clients used to help the clinicians to understand their difficulty situations. Based upon this initial contact, clients were committed to counseling as a way to address their problems.
This stage was followed by conversations and activities that lead to a deeper understanding of the clients’ needs and desires. This is followed by clients and clinicians agreeing on goals for change and an action plan to accomplish these goals. This is followed by periodic assessment or re-evaluation of the counseling goals and the effectiveness of the strategies used to achieve these goals.
With the new information that they are in use of; they are implemented is through understanding of the problems or the goals of counseling and they are making sure the process is adapted to meet the need of the new circumstances.
With that in place, the basic stages of counseling being trained are: 1) Developing the client relationship; 2) Clarifying and assessing the presenting problem or situation; 3) Identifying and setting counseling or treatment of goals; 4) Designing and implementing interventions; and 5) Planning, termination, and follow-up after passing the students out at the later stage.

Write, Read... English is an Empowerment in Uganda
Writing, Spelling, Reading & Speaking English is an Empowerment in Uganda; Kole Intellectual Forum is championing the activity at the Institute of Home Economics to their had been underprivileged students.
Because of Uganda being a country in Arica made of different ethnic groups of people. Speaking different languages; when they were colonizers by the British, the official language that could and it is still uniting them is English; hence, notably, speaking English in Uganda is a must case in Uganda or part of the empowerment to the underprivileged ones.
Unfortunately, English is only taught at schools; meaning, those who did not have an opportunity or had only little time at schools; would not have the moment to communicate officially across the country; hence, teaching English at the Institute of Home Economics is part of empowerment to the students being championed by Kole Intellectual Forum with the support from the fund recieved from the donors through GlobalGiving online fundraising platform.
