Celebrating with the community: KIFA (Kole Intellectual Forum)
Like elsewhere in other parts of the world: celebration in Africa is meant to express a special enjoyable event that people organize themselves; for it is because of making some pleasant for realizing something good you have done/accomplished or because of celebrating for someone's birthday or anniversary. For instance in Italy, the word to celebrate is believed to have come from the Latin word celebrare - meaning "to assemble to honor." Which is similar to a globe concern that: it is the gathering of people for a value of a particular joy.
It also means an occasion on which people can assemble for social interaction and entertainment; where there is jubilation or a joyful occasion for special festivities to mark some happiness.
One other important point to note is that at celebration: is when we give ourselves a way to feel good about ourselves, and our accomplishments. For that matter, when we celebrate we are reinforcing something important to us. Without it we simply maintain the status quo and candidly have a lot less fun.
Kole Intellectual has always think that: this is one of the most important way where they can bring their community together for a joyful event, make the students feel good about good job well done during their tenant at the Institute of Home Economics; and, also to show donors that they are investing in the industry that manufactures.
