Hard to reach areas: a barrier to quality Education
What are the barriers to education around the world? Is the investigation Kole Intellectual Forum is carrying out at the Hard to reach areas in Kole District, Northern Uganda
Throughout the world, poverty is the most pervasive barrier to education and often exacerbates the other factors that keep children from attending school and learning. However, some of the other prevalent barriers include: child labor, conflict, and distance away from social amenities (out to reach areas) among others.
The challenges seem to be same across the globe; and they resonate around, poor academic results, high dropout rate, early pregnancies and marriages, drug and substance abuse, inadequate learning facilities and materials, poor school infrastructure and the list endlessly goes on
In both, developed and developing countries children do not have access to an accurate education due to their different distances far away from the basic needs for education system. A point in question in Uganda is that: children those are in town centre perform fairly well as to compare to those that are studying in the rural settings.
