Afghanistan
Since 2021, IBC has been actively engaged in Afghanistan, responding to community needs and gaining expertise in emergency situations. Following an earthquake on October 7, 2023, near Herat Province, IBC promptly deployed a team to assess the affected areas. The team arrived on October 8, responding to the government's request for humanitarian aid, including food, shelter, and blankets. IBC's immediate focus is on providing essential support, beginning with addressing the food and shelter needs of earthquake victims. The organization remains dedicated to alleviating suffering and effectively responding to crises, reaffirming its commitment to supporting affected communities during challenging times.
Recently we, together with the Refugees Presidency, distributed food to 200 families in the camp established by the Provincial Directorate of Refugees for refugees returning from Pakistan and Iran in the city of Mazari Sharif in Balkh Province.
