The situation in Afghanistan is hectic. Because of Taliban advance to the capital and all big cities and taking
under control almost all country tens of thousands of people in fear of the new regime run to escape to
neighbouring countries. As Taliban took control all border crossing points these people are stranded on the roads and bulks of them around the cities in border areas. At the present moment,
IBC has access to Mazar Sharif where around 20.000 displaced people impacted by the current situation
and are in desperate position and looking for urgent humanitarian asistence. There are more than 81.000
IDPs looking for urgent assistance in the country accvording to the very first data provided by the UN. The
Project aims the provision of emergency food to those people stranded in those cities and countryside.
IBC disterbuted food parcels to nearly 900 benefeceriary families in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan. In partnership with local authorities, IBC have received the lists of the ones who are in need most. The beneficiaries were selected from the lists prepared by Afghani Red Crescent where the Project were implemented. The Procured food parcels include 1)15 kg basmati rice 2)10 kg red beans 3)5 lt edible oil 4)2 kg sugar 5)400 gr (10 packs) spagetti 6)500 gr green tea 7)2 kg salt 8) 800gr Tomato paste 9) Shampoo 750ml 10) Dish washing liquid 800ml 11) Hand washing liquid 500ml.
