The World Heart Beat Music Academy would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who continues to donate and support our projects. Your donations, in combination with the donation of 41 violins from the ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ campaign have enabled us to introduce 2 new violin teachers to start Classical Violin and Gypsy Violin in addition to Celtic Fiddle.

These 3 violin styles have their own forms of expression, different phrasing and sound, and coexist together to give these young children a truly unique and universal experience of learning to play, making them unbelievable young musicians

The rhythm of Celtic and Gypsy music provides a perfect vibrant atmosphere that enables even the youngest aspiring musicians to learn violin both by ear and from music. The young players learn at an astonishing rate, and some attend the Academy three or more times a week for lessons; the Academy is their second home! The joy they show in their playing is infectious, and they are already confident performers.

Recently, we held a Celtic Fiddle and Tabla concert which blended traditional instruments from the repertoire of both Celtic and Indian music, resulting in a beautiful sound. The fusion of these two cultures through music represents the deeper harmony and understanding that exists at World Heart Beat.

Your donations to this project have enabled Arturs (8 years old) to have violin lessons for a year. He loves playing so much that he comes to the Academy for 4 hours every week. He has just passed his grade 1 on Classical violin and is already preparing for grade 2. When he first started coming to the Academy, he didn’t speak much English, but in June he introduced our Piano Party concert in front of all the guests and performers. His school teachers can’t believe the vast improvement in his confidence and how much his work has improved. Playing the violin has helped him find a new confidence. Check out the video below of Arturs playing Celtic Fiddle.

We also have some really good news that the Keen Group, London’s leading taxi firm, are supporting this initiative and have printed 50,000 cards to be delivered all over London.

World Heart Beat Music Academy gives our local children more than just a chance to learn music. It gives them the opportunity to grow and prosper within the community. Your support and donation will continue taking the disadvantage out of young people’s lives.
