Ewafe Project - More Amazing Work
‘I went seeking help from traditional healers who had lied to me that my daughter was dead. But I thank God that she is safe. Thank you Ewafe project.’
Those are the words of the mother of one of the 4 families we were able to successfully reintegrate this quarter. We also conducted 20 family follow ups, both to ascertain whether some families were ready to be reintegrated, and to check up on those who have already been reintegrated.

We are also delighted to share that the cow at the Ewafe project has given birth to another healthy calf! This new addition brings a fresh feeling of joy and excitement to the home and all of the 86 children currently staying at Ewafe are thrilled to welcome this bundle of energy. Here’s a picture of the proud mother and her adorable calf.
Alongside these joyous moments, our commitment to providing holistic care to all the children staying at Ewafe remains. In one of the recent counselling sessions at the Ewafe home, the counsellor and the children discussed forgiveness. They talked about what forgiveness means and why it is important. Real life stories of forgiveness were shared with the children which demonstrated the positive impact forgiveness can have on both the one receiving forgiveness, and the one giving it.
Many of the children at Ewafe have experienced a lot of trauma. Learning to forgive those who may have wronged them can be a crucial step in their healing process, helping them to find peace and move forward with their lives.
‘I did not like the fact that police took my mum while me and my brother were watching at the hospital. Today I have forgiven the police and I know that one day I will meet my mother.’ *Alora (*Name changed)
