Dear Alhassan’s Donors,

We do highly thank you for your last donation. Your support made a major change for people who use equipped rides in Egypt. Equipped rides projectserves people with mobility issues. This project facilitates wheelchair-friendly transportation for the physically challenged people in Egypt, where there is no accessible transportation. Providing them with equipped rides is not luxury; it’s a necessity to help them become physically and socially independent.

Through your donation, you helped changing physically challenged people’s lives. You have served a decent life for Hana. She is one of the most enthusiastic ladies who is very hopeful and cheerful. She suffers from Polio, which caused her to become paralyzed from the waist down. She is a permanent wheelchair-user. This kind of physical challenge has prevented her from completing her studying as there is no accessible transportation. This is can be considered as exclusion or discrimination. When we met her, she told us “I have a lot of dreams. I want to continue my education and have my career. I want to feel that I am a normal human being. I do not want to feel that because of my wheelchair, I can’t achieve my dreams”.

This urging call with your supportive donation has helped us providing her with an equipped motorcycle. This motorcycle is equipped for Hana and it has a spacious space for her wheelchair to be attached in the back. Now, Hana is completing her education and joined the university and her field of studying is commerce. Moreover, along with her studying, she is working in a private company. Now, she is achieving her dream of becoming an active, independent and social woman in society. She is becoming a cog in a wheel! Our cores are, inclusion and independence, becoming the focal points of people’s lives.

Lately, we won an honorary award of Zero Project Conference 2019 to acknowledge that we are sustainable in our mission and vision and we are always seeking for the betterment of life for physically challenged people through changing their disability into ability. This Award ceremony was held in the UN premises in Vienna which focused on Independent Living and Political Participation. This honorary award is not only for us, it is for you as well our donor. Congratulations for all of us. We encourage you to continue supporting us and staying loyal donor to our purpose through subscribing to a monthly recurring donation option. That will help wheelchair users in Egypt be more independent and successful.
