In the month of May the animals majorly treated were dogs. The cause of illness was dehydration for most of them. There were a few dogs who suffered leg injury, and fractures due to vehicles. There is an increase in a day to day traffic and these innocent animals walk on or around the roads face troubles due to irresponsible driving of humans. There were a few burn cases too where the dogs would try and find a shelter under a car or vehicle and due to hot metal body would burn themselves. They were all given proper treatment. In the similar way, dogs in the scorching summers find it hot on normal roads and find a cool shaded place under a vehicle. The owner being unaware of the same starts the vehicle and drives it leading to injuring the dog.
We request people to drive carefully and not scare the animals on road. Also, when you start your vehicle after a few hours, please check under your vehicle for any animal and save them.
In the month of May 2018, the mobile vans of Jivdaya Charitable Trust treated approximately 281 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 cows. Total new cases registered are as follows: Van A1 – 58, A2 – 52, and A3 – 45. The follow up cases were 32, 47, and 53 by van A1, A2, and A3 respectively. In all 155 new cases were taken up and 95 cases were closed by all the three vans. Approximately 350 public interactions were done.
A cat vaccination camp was conducted in a Cat Garden at Gandhidham. The team from JCT had gone there and vaccinated 164 cats. Around 130 dogs were vaccinated in the city with Anti-rabies. The vaccinations were given free of cost.
The team of Jivdaya Charitable Trust feels happy to share the number of animals it is able to treat and save.
WE REQUEST PEOPLE TO DONATE AND HELP US ACQUIRE ENOUGH FUNDS TO BE ABLE TO TREAT ALL THE ANIMALS THAT COME TO JIVDAYA CHARITABLE TRUST ALONG WITH OTHER COSTS.
