The Foundation for Excellence (FFE) subscribes to QMedCourses for students they support

By Vasumathi Sriganesh | Founder

The Foundation for Excellence India Trust  is a not for profit organization that funds higher education for bright students who have financial constraints.

I happened to interact with the COO of FFE in some context and when he heard about our work, he immediately got interested in knowing more. We had an online meeting which a colleague of his also attended, and soon they expressed interest in providing our courses to students who they support and are studying in medical schools.

We first had a webinar for many of them and told them about our courses. FFE made our courses optional for them. Interestingly out of the 60 odd who attended our webinar, around 40 of them signed up and in addition 25 others who did not or could not attend it, signed up too. This we guess happened thanks to some word of mouth feedback

After enrolling 65 students on the 25th of June, we gave them an orientation session on the 5th of July. We noted that about 43 or them had already visited the site and many had got started. It is great to see this interest.

For those who attended the session, I shared a message - that QMed had great hopes in medical students learning the skills of literature searching and referencing early in their careers. We hope that they become well prepared with the essential  research skills that we teach them.

At the end of the session, most of them told us that they found it useful. We hope that all of them have a great learning experience.
