The school library remains a hub of activity for classes, individual students doing extra studying, teachers preparing lesson plans and other teachers learning how to use the first round of technolgy items that need to be recharged via solar. The area where the school and library are located is "off grid" so there is no electricityl
That is why everyone is very excited about the additional laptops, and computerized learning items that are being added as additional funds become available through this project as well as other special funding sources.
Here is a photo of our office manager, Melanie, with the head teacher at the school going over various capabilities of the laptop.
We are grateful for this project's donors for making not only the library possible, but also for the teachers' room of learning resources (seen in the back of the photo) as well as technology items. Our library holds the distinction of being the only school library in our remote district which has 73 primary schools! And our school's reputation for excellent teaching is causing our school population to grow. The school now has over 700 students!
Thank you! Please share this report with any friends, family or co-workers that you think might be interested in helping make a difference as well!
