On August 3, 2024 at USAP Community School permanent campus located on Ruwazi Road in Marondera we welcomed education stakeholders, parents, donors, USAP Alumni and Zimbabwean corporates to celebrate the Grand Opening of our permanent home marking the completion of Phase One of our construction. Our new campus is set on 93 hectares of wondrous miombo woodlands and balancing rocks.
It was a lovely day full of celebration as we came together in gratitude, honoring our incredible donors whose unwavering support has turned dreams into reality. A member of our Education Matters Africa Foundation board, Baldwin Guchu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the donors in his speech noting that; “Your unwavering support has transformed our vision into brick and mortar, creating a space where young minds will flourish and futures will be shaped. Without your commitment, this beautiful campus would remain but a distant aspiration,”
At the event our Director and Founder- Rebecca Zeigler Mano, School Head-Ellen Mapiko and Teacher representative- Alistar Panashe (Physics Teacher and USAP Alumni) shared our commitment towards living up to our vision as USAP Community School to expose our students to a holistic and transformative education with a focus on character development, empathy and future contribution to Africa.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who joined us in celebration marking this milestone with joy and optimism. Special thanks goes to our one time and recurring donors who have given towards this Build the USAP Community School campaign. Thank you for your continued support as we develop our school to live out to its potential!
