The Bulgarian Creatrive Writing Competition is a space where imagination meets expression. It is designed to encourage students to go beyond what they already know, to explore ideas without limits, and to put their emotions, creativity, and originality into words. All participants have the opportunity not only to show their talent but also to challenge themselves in new and exciting ways.
The Bulgarian Creative Writing Competition is more than a contest - it is a celebration of imagination and a journey into the boundless world of storytelling.
The 16th season of the competition is underway and we are thrilled to share some exciting news about it.
This year 152 schools have registered for the competition - a testament to the big enthusiasm for creative writing among teachers and students across Bulgaria. Your generous support has played a crucial role in making this initiative a success, and we are truly grateful for your commitment to nurturing the creative talents of Bulgaria's youth.
The Writing Days took place on November 18 and 19 and received over 3,000 entries. These two days were filled with inspiration, imagination, and the joy of storytelling, as students from across the country came together to showcase their literary skills. This year, all participants wrote their stories on the SmarTest platform, ensuring that no AI tools or other supporting instruments were used.
The preliminary jury is currently reviewing the submissions and selecting the top 18 works in each age category. The national qualifiers will be announced on January 19. The national jury will convene on January 24 and 25, with the winners to be announced on January 26.
The Award ceremony will take place on February 6 in Sofia and the tot 3 winners in each grade and their teachers will be invited to celebrate the talent of the winners.
Once again, thank you! Your belief in the transformative power of education and creativity is shaping the future for these young minds. We look forward to sharing the success stories and remarkable pieces of writing that will undoubtedly emerge from this year's competition.
Best regards,
The BCWC Team
