Save Abandoned Cows from painful death in Gujarat.

The problem of stray cattle is not unusual in India, especially in Ahmedabad. A huge number of abandoned and un-owned cows meet with deadly road accidents every day. Jivdaya Charitable trust try and dothe best to help these homeless, un-owned stray cows in our city through this project. We are fortunate to have a dedicated team of skilled animal handlers and expert veterinarians who providemedicalcare and comfort to these neglected souls.

Recently, an abandoned cow was rescued and brought to our facility by some local animal lovers, the cow was severely injured from a fatal road accidentand had a deadly fissure in its left hind leg. Itwas in severe pain, needed immediate first aid and treatment. After examining it has beentreated with proper medication and at present it is under observation.The cow will be in our shelter till it stabilizes completely and thenwill be shifted to a Cattle shelter to lead a healthy life.

Abandoned cow issue has become a growing problem in Central Gujrat. Due to high temperature and unavailability of proper drinking water in different parts of the city, many abandoned and stray cows got dehydrated and succumb to death. Recently we came across a heart-bend state of one such innocent calf brought to our facility by a farm labour in a terrible situation. The calf had severe infection in its tail, severely dehydrated and an open eye ball injury due to crow picking. Vets clean the wound and started fluid therapy to rehydrate the calf.

Due to the poor health condition it is not showing slow improvement but our team is trying hard to bring it back to its normal health. Once recovers she will be shifted to Panjrapole (cattle shelter) for a better and safer life.
