December Good News
Dhammajarinee extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who have given so generously—both in the past and in recent weeks—to our Annual Fundraising Drive. Thanks to your kindness, we are now just $18,000 away from reaching our $40,000 goal for this year. This beautiful season reminds us that there is no better time to offer a Christmas gift to the world—one that nurtures hope, education, and loving care.
For those generous hearts who are able, we warmly invite you to make a year-end gift here.
Bhutan Delegation Visits Dhammajarinee
Dhammajarinee was honored to welcome a delegation from the Kingdom of Bhutan. The delegation included Mr. Sangay Dawa, the procurement manager for Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airways, together with teachers and students from the Tongsa Penlop Inspire Program 2025. The Tongsa Penlop Inspire Program aims to provide enriching experiences for less-privileged students and teachers from remote schools across Bhutan, inspiring them through sponsored excursions to selected Drukair destinations during their school holidays.
It was a lively exchange as the delegation toured various facilities, observed the STEM education program, and took part in hands-on learning activities, including traditional Thai dessert making. The goal of the visit was to provide a meaningful opportunity for mutual learning, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of future educational collaboration.
Futsal Team Claims Championship Title
The Dhammajarinee futsal team traveled to Samut Prakan, south of Bangkok, to compete in the Women’s Open Futsal Tournament, facing six teams in total. Through their dedicated coaches, and the student’s determination, discipline, and outstanding teamwork, they secured victories of 4–0, 9–0, and 3–1 to claim the 1st-place championship.
Rewriting Their Future
If you have signed up for our Thaischool.org newsletter you have received this heartfelt, insightful and eloquently expressed article by William Aura, who is the Asian Program Director for Asha Foundation for Humanity.
For all our GlobalGiving donors, and receivers of our newsletter who have not had a chance during this busy season to read the full article, don’t miss this uplifting opportunity that will give you real hope and joy in this holiday season. Personally, I was impressed and inspired by how deeply William grasped the essence of what Dhammajarinee is providing to over 1000 underserved girls.
“For nearly 3 decades, my life’s work has been in the trenches of social action in Southeast Asia. I've spent significant time in Thailand, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Tibet… I thought I knew what success in this work looked like. I was wrong. What I witnessed at the Dhammajarinee Witthaya School in Thailand did more than move me - it transformed my understanding of what is possible.”
Please enjoy the full article here, and if you feel moved to do so, share it with your friends, so this powerful story of transformation can reach others who might resonate with our work.
Dhammajarinee extends heartfelt wishes for a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year to all our cherished donors. Thank you for helping us build Dhammajarinee’s legacy of hope and transformation for underserved girls.
